Curator Capital was founded in 2015 by Jay Schiff to help companies and institutional investors with all of their private equity, debt, and venture capital management needs.

Jay is a successful investment professional skilled with over 25 years of experience in corporate private equity, debt, and venture capital raising, investment fund capital raising, deal sourcing, underwriting and portfolio management, and restructuring/workouts. Invested over $1 billion from early stage (seed, series A) to larger companies (>$100mm revenue). 

He founded and successfully managed a private debt investment fund for a $1 billion private equity firm and has held senior roles at Merrill Lynch Capital, TCW Private Credit, Neptune Financial, and Crescendo Asset Management. Mr. Schiff also founded and manages an early-stage healthcare tech company focused on tackling the opioid epidemic. The company raised over $1 million anchored by the nation's leading social-impact angel group and was awarded a SBIR grants from the NIH and CDC.

Curator Capital has been engaged to provide advisory for the development of three different early-stage investment funds, led multiple M&A processes, raised capital for several LBOs, provided underwriting assistance on dozens of investment opportunities, provided restructuring advisory, and liquidated a special situations debt and equity fund.​ Jay sits on multiple corporate boards.

Education includes a BA in Economics from Cornell University College of Arts & Sciences and an MBA in Finance and MS in Accounting from New York University Stern School of Business.
